AOCS (Air Operations Communications System) was the HF system the RAAF used after 1973, taking over from the area guard HF system that had been used since WWII.  There were four Air Operations Communications Centres that comprised the AOCS, these were located at Townsville, Darwin, Pearce and Glenbrook.  Many hundreds of operators and technicians spent hour upon hour on operating and keeping the system going.
